Warrington Wolves have confirmed the signings of props Toby Crosby and Mitchell Prest ahead of the 2027 season. The pair are the second and third additions for next season, following the earlier capture of Leeds Rhinos halfback Brodie Croft.

Toby Crosby

Crosby, 23, is 6ft 2in and weighs 106kg. He made his NSW Cup debut in 2024 before playing a key role in the New Zealand Warriors' reserve grade campaign in 2025, which saw the side win both the NSW Cup Grand Final and the NRL State Championship. He joined the Penrith Panthers ahead of the 2026 season.

In 2026, Crosby recorded 843 post-contact metres at an average of 49.3 per game and achieved an elite tackle efficiency rate of 96.8%.

Crosby said: "I'm incredibly excited to be joining the Warrington Wolves. Ever since I was young, I've had the ambition to play professional footy in England and the approach from Warrington made me consider it as the next step of my career. The chance to work under Sam Burgess was a huge attraction. He's someone I've looked up to for a long time, and I think he'll really help me develop. I'm very blessed to go from an open trial, to spending time in both the Warriors and Panthers systems. Now I'm looking forward to making an impact for Warrington."

Mitchell Prest

Prest, also 23, is 6ft 2in and weighs 104kg. He made his breakthrough in 2021, playing a key role as the Raiders won the SG Ball Grand Final. He earned representative honours including selection for the NSW Country Under-19s and won the Coaches' Award during the 2024 season as the Raiders topped the Jersey Flegg Cup table.

After a short stint with the North Queensland Cowboys, he signed for current club Mackay Cutters, where he has made 15 appearances this season and scored two tries. Prest has a 92% tackle success rate and averages 121 metres per game.

Prest said: "I'm really excited to join Warrington. It's a great opportunity for me and I can't wait to get over there and continue my development as a young, hungry forward."

Coach and Director Response

Head Coach Sam Burgess said: "Toby is a young forward with a lot of potential, and we're excited about bringing him into our environment. He's got the physical attributes you look for in a front-rower, and he has a strong desire to improve. Mitchell is another young player who we feel has plenty of upsides. There's still lots of development ahead of him, but we're confident he can continue to improve and make a real contribution to this club in the future. We're really looking forward to bringing them over to Warrington and nurturing them both into first grade players."

Director of Rugby Gary Chambers added: "These are two highly sought-after forwards who have been identified after months of detailed analysis. We're really excited to see them flourish in a Warrington shirt and believe they can develop into valuable first-team players."
